As Nick did practically all of the first film himself, do you think it was easy for him to let other people do animation with his characters? I suppose he had to rely on the storyboard so everybody new what they were doing.

Nick, did animate some of the other films, but the bigger the film the more people needed to animate it.

Well it nicks story and he has had a big hand in all the movies.

Nick animated very nearly all of the first film, some of the second film (with Steve Box) and some of the third film (with about 29 others).

In Cracking Contraptions he did hand them over - it was a test to see whether Aardman could handle the full movie. He did animate Gromit coming down the stairs dressed as a sheep though!

On Cuse of the Were-rabbit he didn't animate but directed it so had a hand in everything and did control the movie.

Therefore he hasn't really handed them over and I don't think he ever will completely. Yes he's very well off from the characters, but he does it for the love and fun of it - just like everyone else at Aardman - so why leave them to someone else?

I just thought it might have been hard, after doing the first film himself, to let others do some animating.Do you agree?
