what do you think is the best stop motion software.
i really like i stop motion and monkey jam

Nofby Posted: Jun 19th 2008

Stopmotion Pro, Frame Thief, Dragon stopmotion and Stopmotionmaker are the very best, in my opinion.

conty Posted: Jun 19th 2008

stopmotion pro!!!!! i think its great and aardman use it too;)

Nofby Posted: Jun 19th 2008

True, I use it too. Which version do you have?

conty Posted: Jun 19th 2008

the lastest one v5. i think its called. the digital one:)

Nofby Posted: Jun 19th 2008

Nice, the latest one is version 6, it has a fair few upgrades. Thats the one I have.

Ursrut Posted: Jun 19th 2008

question, about how much does this program cost???

Chocachoc Posted: Jun 19th 2008

yes, and what version of the version 6 have you got(eg junior, professional)

Mark the shark Posted: Jun 19th 2008

I don't know but I think StopMotionPro is the best. ;)

conty Posted: Jun 19th 2008

just checked, your right its version 6;)

cinders1 Posted: Jun 19th 2008

ursrut download a free trail off stopmotionpro.com its very simple, have you tried it in school yet, noones said anything about it since conty got the school a copy, i wonder if they use it? contys not said anything do you know?

coopertoons Posted: Jun 19th 2008

i don't like stop motion pro i tried the demo and it was too hard to figure out. plus i just switched to mac so i can use fire wire

Ursrut Posted: Jun 20th 2008

I heard a teacher talking about conty bringing that in and they said they were going to be using it for Aniamtion club next year. ( unfortauntly i think they don't offer the club to our yr group next year)
We use Flash at the moment and that's a tiny bit expensive by the sounds of it at the moment.
I have got a program except it keeps on crashing at the littlest of things most annoyingly.

coopertoons Posted: Jun 20th 2008

i have the adobe design pack it was $3000

Ursrut Posted: Jun 20th 2008

Well...not to sure even if it is converted into the Pound i could get my dad or mum to buy me that.
The program i have is Serif draw plus.

coopertoons Posted: Jun 21st 2008

adobe makes amazing products

the spazicat Posted: Jun 21st 2008

stop motion pro 4 is the best, version 6 is just a bit on the rubbish side, no offence if thats what you use.:-|:-|

the spazicat Posted: Jun 21st 2008

aardman use stop motion pro

Chocachoc Posted: Jun 21st 2008

I use windows movie maker :P

Ursrut Posted: Jun 21st 2008

That is what i have to use as well.

Nofby Posted: Jun 21st 2008

"stop motion pro 4 is the best, version 6 is just a bit on the rubbish side, no offence if thats what you use."

I'm sorry, but in my opinion that statement is garbage. The latest version, v6, is the only one that was developed with Aardman, not any of the others. It has new tools from the older ones like version 4.

All here:
http://www.stopmotionpro.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=119&Itemid=105

Using, a more professional version than junior or lower v's, I find v6 will meet all needs.

I am not being offence, just a state of opinion and experience.

666joshy666 Posted: Jun 21st 2008

Does anybody know the best software for mac apart from istopmotion?

coopertoons Posted: Jun 22nd 2008

dragon

I don't like 6 because the only difference is the green screen and audio, whats the point on having that when you have others that do that.

Nofby Posted: Jun 22nd 2008

You don't like it because it has extra features??

"whats the point on having that when you have others that do that."

Its handy to have it in the program, very useful.

But hey, you've got an opinion that rivals with mine. v6 just suites my needs, v4 suits yours. People have different preferences.

thespazicat Posted: Jun 22nd 2008

i'm not trying to rival you, im only proving a point. But youre right, we do have seprate opinions.

Nofby Posted: Jun 22nd 2008

I never said you were. I stated our opinions rival each other. I certainly wasn't been personal.

thespazicat Posted: Jun 23rd 2008

a good way to animate mouths is chroma keying a cray talk image, note: crazy talk is over expensive.
