Hi everyone i need tips on sculpting a character i can animate. i would realy appriciate it if you guys helped me out![]()

Use wire skeletons called armatures.
take your time
make sure they have a good center of gravity or else they'll fall over.
hope those were usefull
if its your first go i wouldnt make anything too hard, ave a go at animating something simple first like a worm![]()
Or you could try a Lego animation if you have Lego !
:-?
thanks conty and dachappell ive made three or four animations but i cant figure out how not to mess up the charecter when i move him i try smoothing it out but it allways gos to smoosh
anyone got any advice![]()
thanks for the advice adventure quest i think ill try that
its a tricky one as they all get mushed up when you animate them, espicially if they get warm, maybe try animating a wire form if you only want to practice, you could always cover it in tin foil![]()
thanks for the idea conty
sorry if im bothering you guys with these questions i just got a couple more....
any ideas for a good camera thats cheap, ive got a kodak easy share its
a realy slow camera and the flash changes sizes when i take a picture![]()
your not bothering us!!! cameras are a nightmare!!! you will need one that will have a live feed and a manual focus, and you wont be needing that flash, some web cams are good like the unibrian fire-i, its been reveiwed by animation software companys and they say its a great little camera.
i use a sony dvd camcorder but i had to get some leads for it to work though, the canon G9 is also another good camera but its alot more costly
a good tip would be to find out from the animation software company what cameras they recommend to work with their software![]()
I don't know anything, soz.
thanks conty is there a specific web site i have to get the
unibrian fire-
i
I started off with morphing clay balls then moved onto fixed snails. Now i'm using armatures and animating expressions and stuff.
I watch The Gadget Show at 8:00pm on a Monday, it is not about Stop-Motion but it has some really cool gadgets, had tripods last week, only a 5mins section on it but it was the top 5 small tripods, the Gorilla Pod won, which my brother has, so I can borrow that maybe, They have lots of stuff about Cameras too, Im watching now, and after the break there will be a part on what the 2 most talked about Cameras this year are like. ![]()
