Could one of the aardman staff answer my question please?

In the W&G competition you say "Create something W&G related."

I was just wondering does this mean general clay models, made up animation (with own characters) etc, or does it specifically mean something out of Wallace of Gromit? I'm just wondering this because in one of the competitions there was a really good one that wasn't Wallace and Gromit related and i thought it should have at least come runner up, but it didn't.

Its just some people try really hard making their own stuff, but might not have a very good chance of winning because its not W&G related.

Please could an aardman staff answer this question if its possible.

Thanks, Elizabeth.

Hello?

conty Posted: Jul 9th 2008

chocachoc ive been looking for the post that katie has posted before about the competition, but i cant find it. but from what i can remember they are excepting anything that is aardman related, even if its your own creation but its animated the same way as wallace and gromit it will be ok. so your animation that you have just done will be in the competition as its in the same style. i think ive got it right;)

Thanks, but i still think they prefer the W&G things. If you look back over the months most of the winners are W&G stuff.

Thanks anyway Conty :D.

I made a Wendolene over the weekend and I'm uploading it now :D

i agree;)

:D

It is predominantly a Wallace & Gromit competition, but we don't want to stop people from being creative and so we allow animations and models too. If you look at the past winners we have had a few independent animations win top prize.

PS. nice Wendolene model :D

Thankyou Katie :D:D:D

Katie, remember back a few months ago I asked if me and Leopard could post something together. Well, it's coming in August. ;)

Sounds exciting MTS......is it the famous Frog Blast we've all been waiting to see?

Prof Chip Posted: Jul 13th 2008

I have a question about the competition? Now its called "Nick Park's Creation of the Month" does he actually look at the creations, because i know he is really busy with A Matter of Loaf or Death. anyone know?

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Jul 17th 2008

It's true that Nick is very busy and doesn't spend a lot of time in the office, but he has a window every month for looking at the competition entries :)

Oh cool thanks katie!
