chesee Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

thanks:D

chesee Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

hi

jills Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

Hi have you already made your animation aside from the soundtrack or is it in the works right now?

plasjas Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

hi jills

jills Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

Yo plasjas, how's the modelling/dinosaur coming along?

plasjas Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

ah it's alright a bit slow the nooo. Yes. anyway it's coming along alright however i am making a new monster aswell not for the same animation but another one. See i can't tell you about it cause i don't know what the film is about. the problem is this guy from my "high School" as you would call it says hey "plasjas" not my real name... oh yeah back to the story of my trauma, says make a model and you will be animating it.

"can i get a story board" asks plasjas
"oh no, you'll be fine" he says
"oh can i get a drawing" retorts plasjas
"Nah...just do a ray harryhausen type beast and it will turn out ok"
Depressing isn't it

How are your models coming ;)

jills Posted: Oct 3rd 2008

Good old fun at "high school" I see. Does this mean your own animation is on hold? My model/set is going ok, only things keep demanding to be added to it :-| I've had some luck though in that a friend had lots of the things I was looking for and he loaned them to me, so I'm happy enough.

conty Posted: Oct 4th 2008

wish we done projects like that plasjas

jills i cant wait to see your animation, your brilliant with the fine details;)

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

it is kind of a extra curricular thing not what we actually do. Wish we had an animation course at school but we don't it's to quote the people in camera shops "a specialist subject" which not enough people are interested in. Yeah jills it does cause the dinosaur thing is something i am doing for the same person i'll do random tests and that on my own but i am working on stories for people.

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Fantastic, I've got a story for you then. Are you ready?

sheepluvr123 Posted: Oct 4th 2008

nope!:D

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

think she was speaking to me....fire away jills

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

No no plasjas, you've got enough on your plate ;)

sheepluvr123 Posted: Oct 4th 2008

and...

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

no tell me i hate the way people do this they say hey do you want to hear something...ok oh wait you wont want to know as i have to much on my plate

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Well I was sort of just joking, as you've got a lot to work on, but if you want some meat, I have had just a title in mind that I haven't done much with-- I'd like to develop a short called A Salt & Pepper Spray. A potential character would be Braun Betty. Feel free to elaborate anytime.
PS It would be comic of course, not violent.

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

sounds good you got a storyline and how brauny would betty be

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Lol I've no idea, just create any type character and it'll turn out ok ;) ...It's something that I'm waiting for more inspiration for myself, and I am trying to finish the Gromit model/set first. I don't think I'd be good at multi-talking between models or animation projects, esp as I'm just learning how to animate.

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

ok i'll create a muscular woman

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

That's good, just don't make her look like an American Gladiator :O

squigly Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Hey jills, what's the story behind the title for your short?

sheepluvr123 Posted: Oct 4th 2008

long?8)

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Hi squigly, I've no idea! It's just stuck in my mind, and I haven't worked on it seriously because I'm trying to tie up what I already started (Gromit). I imagine it will be rather action-y, perhaps like a spoof on the Avengers or that kind of thing. Also... I was thinking it could all take place in a kitchen like Teeny Little Super Guy. I LOVED that animation when I was quite young :D

Chesee did you find any suitable music for your animation?

sheepluvr123 Posted: Oct 4th 2008

plz forgive me?

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

sheepluvr stop filling up almost every thread with apologies speak about the subject and we will

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

here is what braun betty could look like well a bit before she takes out a bag of salt and eats it...pop eye style

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

that is just a rough thing i threw together

Harry Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Hehe thats Great Plasjas its good that your posting regulary now!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Harry Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Its good that your back as I loved your Maxwell model!

Dont Forget about us Again!!!

And hear that well!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

sorry i won't leave

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

ha Harry told you. Anyway, you just "threw" that together? It's brilliant. Betty almost looks like she is in disguise, which is perfect >:-)

Harry Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Jills What are you on about 'ha Harry told you.' what do you mean?

Anyhow im making something at the moment!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

what are you making?.... well yeah i just thought ok make a woman then i forgot about the muscular arms and thought about pop eye. Threw together well not literally but it could be a design for her

Harry Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Im making an Armature with Foam,Wire and Milliput!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

cool will you post a pic

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

Harry I just meant that you set plasjas straight by telling him not to forget about the site again ;) I'd also like to see pics, who is the armature for?

Plasjas she could have muscle lumps like popeye then. You're really excellent at making models and quickly, too, I have to say. I have done and redone Gromit 10 times now

Harry Posted: Oct 4th 2008

I dont know if I want to tell you at the moment who it is for and showing pictures now will give it away easily! I will maybe show some some other time!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

lol but your gromit looks brill when i saw it:D

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

squigly Posted: Oct 4th 2008

wow plasjas...that was super quick! It was just 2 hours earlier that you posted: "ok i'll create a muscular woman" and voila! You're really GOOD!

wonder what Harry's up to now with that armature?

jills, what have you done with your models/set from your Jack-o-Lantern-o-matic creation?

squigly Posted: Oct 4th 2008

haha..is that an alter ego? even her facial expression changed!|-) She's gone from Schoolyard Betty to BRAUNY BETTY. There's your storyline!

plasjas Posted: Oct 4th 2008

i can see the animation now innocent betty walks down the street... a thief steals her purse sodium chloride comes out...and BOOOM huge muscles as she throws the thief 30ft in the air

squigly Posted: Oct 4th 2008

"With a little pinch of salt, meek and mild Betty transforms into her crime fighting alter ego, Pepper Spray. She'll leave them stinging for days!"

jills Posted: Oct 4th 2008

I am laughing so hard right now, plasjas, updated Betty looks AMAZING. I have inspiration for coming up with bits for the action now. I think taking salt is hilarious... hopefully it doesn't cross government views on health guidelines or they will shut our operation down... As for Gromit I try to make little "improvements" that go wrong and then I start over.

Harry, you are keeping us in high suspense! But surprises are good so you keep everything top secret until you're done ;)

Squigly, I could take a pic of what the Jack-o-Lantern-o-Matic set looks like now, but... it would be truly horrifying. Sculpey doesn't hold up well, and by the time I was done taking the multiple shots last year, it all looked a little bruised. You have to "work" Sculpey to get it soft and pliable, so you can't do an easy smoothing fix like with plasticine. That's why I moved on, not to mention that stuff is daylight robbery at a few dollars for a tiny pack. I still have the set, though, in case I want to reuse anything. Sadly much of it is smaller than the scale I'm working on now. The only thing I salvaged was the tablecloth that Harry spotted.

conty Posted: Oct 5th 2008

interesting ideas guys. betty sounds like she would be a great shot-putter!!;)

Ursrut Posted: Oct 5th 2008

Fab model plasjas.
