thespazicat Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

but tetnicly i have no clue of any other free programme.

Chocachoc Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

Ok, thanks. Is it easy to use? Are there any tutorials anywhere?

jordan Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

FLASH cs3 is the most used by professionals, nobody can beat adobe flash its far too popular, as is all adobe products

Chocachoc Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

I don't think the old version of the trial is available.

thespazicat Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

clck try in th FL icon

Chocachoc Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

That is the new version and they haven't brought it out yet. I found it on download.com though. Once Ive downloaded the trial and used the 30 days can I just uninstall and download again and it will be another 30 days? That rarely happens.

thespazicat Posted: Oct 22nd 2008

animation boy Posted: Oct 25th 2008

You can do 2-d animation by the following.

Draw your frames on paper (on a lightbox, so you can see your previous drawing, and tweak the second one slightly when you trace over.) Then photograph each frame, at the exact same angle. You can then, like stopmotion, play them on monkeyjam and see if you like the animation. As it will only be a black and white drawing, you can then import each frame to photoshop. Put the photographed drawing as the back ground, and on a new layer, draw over (using colours, etc) in neat. Do it for very frame, then import them all to monkey jam. Then export as a movie.

Its simple.

Chocachoc Posted: Oct 25th 2008

I was talking about 2d flash. I know how to do the lightbox thing.

Harry Posted: Oct 25th 2008

Erm, Chocochoc is talking about 2D computer generated animation. I don't think he's asking about classic hand drawn technique.

Mark the shark Posted: Oct 29th 2008

That's cool, thespazicat! ;) For a cartoon sequence in Frog Blast we're using a software called Toon Boom Animation. :)

animation boy Posted: Nov 1st 2008

Nofby,

computer generated animation (none cgi) is done roughly how i said. Sometimes they use flash, but they will still do a pencil test on paper, then import them all. Chocochoc id look around the internet, we're not very experienced here. ;)

Mark the shark Posted: Nov 8th 2008

Toon Boom is pretty awesome. ;)

thespazicat Posted: Nov 15th 2008

HEY GUYS! I got the full version of flash cs4, and as they say at mcdonalds, im loving it!
