My first ever startstop animation. Just practice, no story or plot. What do you think?

EDIT: Hmm, This format isnt good for most people, is it?

Chocachoc Posted: Nov 12th 2008

It says it will harm my computer.

jordan Posted: Nov 12th 2008

the proper terms are Stopmotion/claymation Animation

yeh says harm my computer too eek!

Chocachoc Posted: Nov 12th 2008

That type is normally fine though.

Daskunk Posted: Nov 12th 2008

Well, I made it with windows movie maker which is NOT at ALL ment for that it seems like. It lagged and jerked my computer so I couldn't even play it in windows movie maker, so I had to make it into a movie before I could play it, but it worked fine then.

Its probably saying that becuase of the program I made it in and how I made it, unless it got corrupted when uploading..

I saw it, its looking good. One point however..

What fps did you shoot at?

Daskunk Posted: Nov 13th 2008

I don't know how to properly awnser that question, but if your commenting on the speed, its a little fast, I know.

I made it in a few mins to see how to do it, so I wasn't trying to get it at a perfect speed.

Chocachoc Posted: Nov 14th 2008

I used to use wmm

Daskunk Posted: Nov 14th 2008

How many frames did yours have? This one had over 100 pictures.

wmm works, but it isn't really best for it.

Nofby Posted: Nov 14th 2008

Infact, I was going to say the opposite, I think its not that smooth because of the rate you shooted at, what frame-rate did you shoot at?

Daskunk Posted: Nov 14th 2008

I ment speed as in how fast it shows the frames (0.125 of a second), not how many there was.

I was just useing a regular old camera and changed it little bits and took pictures of it.

Nofby Posted: Nov 14th 2008

Yes, and because of the frame-rate, the frames didn't show fast enough to make it smooth. I didn't ask how many frames you took, but the rate at which you animated.

Ursrut Posted: Nov 15th 2008

Daskunk I found when i was shooting using wmm i found that if you zoomed in enough on the timeline and then dragged the time down to 0.24 it was the right time.

Chocachoc Posted: Nov 16th 2008

I use 15fps for everything now.
