Okay, from what I've heard Aardman used ball and socket armatures right? I'm going to the craft store later today and I was wondering what I needed to buy in order to make one. If there are any alternatives that work just as good if not better then b&s sockets, I'd love to know also. Thanks

If found a great example of what I was looking for in this picture here:

well.. that armature is very professional, so you wont be able to get one like that unless you have a big budget. but i wold suggest either usiong a well made wire armature, or you could try to make a ball and socket armature or you could buy one, like these

i use an armaverse like this, its not totally professional but it works

A well made wire armature will always be better than a cheap blocky B&S armature.

How long will your film be? If its only a few minutes, a wire armature is just fine.

Okay thanks people, I bought some stem wire for flowers today, and I think I can make a pretty good wire armature with it, thanks everyone
