Hello, dear friends! What a lovely surprise to find, on the back page of the 2009 Christmas and New Year edition of the Radio Times , an interview with the ANP's (Nick Park) about how he spends Christmas!

I daresay he looks fetching in a Santa Claus hat :D

Fish Posted: Dec 8th 2009

SockEye - do you know if it available online?

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Dec 8th 2009

Hiya, Fish, old pal! I'll find out a website for you... wait a sec...

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Dec 8th 2009

I had a look on the Radio Times website but no joy at the moment.

... tell you what, dear friend. I'll scan the page onto my computer tomorrow and upload it onto the site. How's that? :D

;)

ajmole Posted: Dec 8th 2009

Sounds awesome.

Fish Posted: Dec 8th 2009

WOW! THANKS, SockEye!!|-)

I am snowed in today. We are having a blizzard - it won't begin to subside until tomorrow afternoon. It's kind of fun being snowed in!

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Dec 8th 2009

Oooh, no problem at all, Fish, dear friend! It's at times like this I wish I could get a copy of the RT to you via post. The RT website is pretty strange - not at all like the magazine on the shelf. Hmmmmmmm.....

I bet it looks lovely with the snowy scene outside the window in the run up to Christmas. Nutmeg Blue would love it, as we don't get a lot of snow here. I can also imagine how special this Christmas will be with Ralphie the Wonderdog... Nutmeg Blue sends lots of licks, woofs and belly rubs...

Fish Posted: Dec 8th 2009

The snow is beautiful and still coming down. I haven't seen this much snow since we moved here from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There they do not close schools for less than 2 feet of snow dumped in one storm. Here they cancel school for 3 inches. Right now I'd say we have have 10 inches on the ground so far.

Ralphie likes the snow...but he's annoyed we don't walk him as far. Ralphie sends Nutmeg Blue return licks, woofs and belly rubs!

PoisonIvy Posted: Dec 9th 2009

An interview with the ANP? And you'll upload it here?

I'm chuffed to mintballs, to say the least!

Seb Moderator Posted: Dec 9th 2009

I don't like to break up the fun but, unless it's published online by Radio Times or Aardman, it's against the law to scan and publish the interview. Sorry.

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Dec 9th 2009

OK, Seb, where does that leave Jordan etc. and those news articles from The Guardian etc. typed up on this site word for word? Nothing was said to him or to me in the past. Duplicating articles in other publications (unless you are quoting a sentence or two) is also covered the same law as Aardman and BBC Worldwide, who publish The Radio Times. :-(

It's not my fault that, unfortunately, due to the rules of this website, I won't be able to get addresses to post off copies to either Poison Ivy or Fish. Fans outside the UK and Ireland won't be able to share in how the ANP spends Christmas because it gives a valuable insight, since W&G are fast becoming a staple of Christmas viewing on the BBC.

Unless, of course, I keep a close eye on The Radio Times to see if, nearer Christmas week, they will actually have it uploaded - then inform my friends about it.

Fish Posted: Dec 9th 2009

Thanks for trying, SockEye. I'm not sure that people on this side of the pond will be allowed to read the upload - but maybe that prohibition only happens for video presentations....dunno.

Seb Moderator Posted: Dec 9th 2009

I would hope that we might at least be allowed to show it after Christmas - once the magazine is out of shops. But, as I'm sure you can appreciate, copying an entire page onto a website without permission is unfair on Radio Times.

I'm sure it will be avaliable for anyone to read at some point, just maybe not quite yet. :-(

jordan Posted: Dec 9th 2009

the articles i publish are from online sources, do you think i would be bothered to type up a whole article from a paper.... .....

Fish Posted: Dec 9th 2009

Here is a picture of Ralphie in the snow today, SockEye. He's hoping you might show it to Nutmeg Blue.:)

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 10th 2009

awwmfish he's so cute!and a great colour,
What sort of dog is he??

Fish Posted: Dec 10th 2009

Thanks, Clay Fighter! :) Ralphie is a golden retriever. He is more like ginger than gold in colour, actually. He loves to bound through the snow!

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 11th 2009

reminds me a little of Doug from Up

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Dec 11th 2009

OOOOOhhhh, Fish! You can tell Ralphie the Wonderdog that Nutmeg Blue was not only sniffing the computer screen but she has another pin-up for the wall! :D

What a very special Christmas this is going to be for you and Ralphie. He sure looks like he's having a great time, paw-deep in crisp, white snow. A beautiful sight! There are cyber belly rubs, hugs and cookie bones on their way... and my speciality quality mintballs, especially chuffed for you! 0:)
