Does anybody remember this series? I still love it even though I'm a teenager now. And those of you who have never heard of it, I hope you like it!

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 11th 2009

nitrome Posted: Dec 11th 2009

yes i used to watch that, but i don't have cartoon network any more:-(

concon Posted: Dec 11th 2009

Its cool,
some episodes are annoying,
I want to kill Billy. :L

crackingtoast Posted: Dec 11th 2009

Not The Kind Of Person Who Gets Into These Run Of The Mill Cartoons Really. I'm A Teen And I've Never Watched Them. Though Spongebob Rules. Spongebob Is The Only Thing Is Ever Used To Watch On Cartoon Network.

whathappened3 Posted: Dec 11th 2009

nitrome what happened to ur cartoon network

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 11th 2009

I dont have foxtel:(
In australia foxtel is like our cable or whatever and we only get cartoon network on their, I remember as a child going 2 my aunties house and sitting infront of the tv watching alll those old cartoon such as Johnny bravo, and...the power puff girls (I didnt know how 2 use the remote, so i just sat and watched it)

Yes I remeber that show!!!
Billy also annoys me

harryboy8080 Posted: Dec 11th 2009

billy is my home skillet

didn't forget about you, gromit!

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I used to love these surreal comedy cartoons when I was younger!

I love Grim and I love the episode where they meet Satan.

And CT, you should watch an episode. You'll be surprised.Growing up with these cartoons changed my life. Its what made me a cartoonist.

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I like Powerpuff Girls,
They are cool,
even though Im a boy,
I liked the Gob Green Gang.

Anyone seen the Harry Potter versions ?

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Potterpuffs to the rescue !

A sad scene...

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I didn't know that there were harry potter powerpuffs.

I used to love powerpuff girls too:

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

crackingtoast Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Jamie,You've Never Seen My Comic Strips And Doodles. I Am Too A Cartoonists,Cartoons Or Anything To Do With Drawing If Always What I Wanted To Do Before I Can Remember. But I'm Inspired By Alot Of Things,Monty Python's Comedy,The Beatle's Music ETC. I Always Used To Watch Cartoons,It's Just Billy And Mandy Is Just One Of Those American Things I Never Got Into. When I Was Very Young,I Was Into Thomas The Tank Engine ALOT And I Went Off It When I Was Around 9 But I Still Secretly Like It A Bit Now. I Just Thought All The Little Bangs And Explosions And Smokey Fumes On The Model Sets Was Just Inspiring. It's What Got Be Into Modelling With Small Scale Sets.

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I cant say I was a fan of the Thomas series. The original books by Rev. Awdrey (who used to be a close friend of my granddads) are truly better. The surreal look of the engines remind me of the work of Tim Burton and Edward Leary.

I do think you should take a look at the classics such as Dexters Lab and Courage the Cowardly dog. They're so artistic and inspirational!

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Courage the Cowardly dog is good.
But like Billy and Mandy,
some episodes annoy me.

Dexter's voice annoyed me to,
Im more of a Scooby Doo person. (;

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

the thing about scooby doo is that no one gets killed.

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I love the original scooby doo!!!!

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Yeah,
and it gets a bit repetitive,

1. There is a town bing haunted.
2. The gang split up.
a) Scooby and Shaggy (maybe Velma)
b) Fred and Daphne

2) Velma loses her glasses

3) Daphne gets kipnapped 97% of the time.

4) Fred makes a plan.

5) They capture the monster.

6) They unmask the villian.

7) "I would of gotten away with it..."

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

yeah. After five or six episodes it gets a bit repetitive.

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 12th 2009

wrong

Fred always makes a plan, but it never works!!
and a few other things!

But you see its the continous structure that make sit ever so appealing

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Do you like the live-action SD movies ?

I have the new one on my list. Its different actors hough. ):

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

no, i don't think so. A haunted house mystery just seems boring over and over. That's why i like braver comedies like King of the Hill and Fairly Odd parents- it never gets old.

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Fairly Odd Parents are great. :D

But King of The Hill is like Family Guy isnt it ? I hate those things. Especially South Park. But I like Simpsons and Futurama.

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Absolutely not! Its something that people mistake. Family Guy, American Dad and South Park are just random cartoons where they swear and do stupid stuff for no reason.

King of the hill is a funny animated family programme. Its very much like the Simpsons. Hank Hill, his wife Peggy and son Bobby have all sorts of funny storylines and me and my family watch it all the time.

Trust me. Its great!

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 12th 2009

how can u ahte south park, fmaily guy and king of the hill
!!
they r awesome!!!
ILY fairly odd parents!!

Heres the intro to oakie doak!:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUz6oXmoTFM

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I love King of the Hill. Bill and Bobby are my favourites. But I love Peggy and Hank too.

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

I remember Oakie Dokey now. The leaf woman scared me. (:

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 12th 2009

ITS NOT A WOMAN!!!!!!!
TAKE THAT BACK!!!!!!

concon Posted: Dec 12th 2009

Woops. It looks like one. :L

Clay Fighter Posted: Dec 12th 2009

NO IT DOESNT!!!!!!!
NOT ONE BIT!!
lol, already seen that vid concon, not one bit like a woman!!

nitrome Posted: Dec 13th 2009

@whathappend,i used to have ntl(virgin media) ages ago then i switched to freeveiw
so i don't have it.freeveiw does not have cartoon network:-(

crackingtoast Posted: Dec 13th 2009

Jamie,I Gotta Agree With You On The Books,But I Love The Whole Steam And Little World, It Was The Most Inspiring Thing I've Ever Seen. Especially In The Late 80's/Mid 90's Ones,Those Were The Ones I Used To Watch. I Grew Up With Them. But As Soon As 2000 Came The Whole Thing When Horribly Wrong.
I Did Watch Dexter's Lab Quite A Lot,That Was A Nice Little Inspiring Series. But Courage The Cowardly Dog,I'm Afraid To Say I Don't Remember Watching It. The Things I Used To Watch Were Spongebob,Dexter's Lab,Edd,Edd And Eddy,Rocko's Modern Life And That Kind Of Stuff. Basicly The Old Reruns Of 90's And Early 2000's Shows. I Watched Recess ALOT. That Was The Only Decent Thing On Disney (Sorry Hanna Montanan,I Mean,Miley Cyrus,Fans,But She Sucks. She Doesn't Have An Alter-Ego. She's Just A 16 Year Old Trying To Be Older.). But Really I Mainly Grew Up On CBBC,Things Like Smile,Chucklevision,Basil Brush,Bodger And Badger,Tracey Beaker. Quiet Alot Of Live-Action Things Really. Though That Doesn't Mean I Wasn't Influenced By Cartoons. Oh Know. I Used To Be Insanely Mad Of The Old Oliver Postgate And Ivor Wood Stuff. Ivor The Engine,Bagpuss,The Clangers. All The Real Classics From The 60's And 70's.

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 13th 2009

I used to love chucklevision and bodger and badger, aswell!

crackingtoast Posted: Dec 15th 2009

great! i know the tracey beaker one is a bit embarrassing, but used to like it because it's very realistic and deals with issues alot of children get.

concon Posted: Dec 15th 2009

I watched it this morning. :L

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Dec 15th 2009

Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids?
