Yes. He is very famous.

Gromits little bro Posted: Jan 11th 2010

ive always wondered how they make that show
any1 know?

crackingtoast Posted: Jan 11th 2010

they were remote controlled minature models that had real smoke and stuff. i used to love the little crashes and explosions on the mini set. unfornately they've went to cgi now and it's all preschool learning stuff. it's sad really, cause it kinda kills you're childhood when you just see it turned into a run of the mill cgi show, made without as much care or loving.

Grumblefish Posted: Jan 11th 2010

I agree with crackingtoast I was a HUGE fan of the early series, tons of very funny moments. But since they changed it, the good episodes are hard to find.

Siro6 Posted: Jan 11th 2010

Tottaly agree with you crackingtoast!

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Jan 11th 2010

The CG version is more animated and child friendly. Kids prefer the new version.

Ursrut Posted: Jan 11th 2010

well this kid doesn't :).
i think they are ruining childhoods in a way with the way that they are making programs now. It used to be all about the morals behind it- now its about teaching you how to count, spell amongst other things. I'm not saying that's bad but come on give a kid a break.

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Jan 11th 2010

I love spongebob. That has never been about counting and spelling. It was just hilarious comedy that me and others love. I prefer funny cartoons that don't mess about trying to get morals into kids heads.

crackingtoast Posted: Jan 11th 2010

Jamie,Would You Rather Tradional Hand-Made Animation Or See It Die In Badly Mad CGI? Anyway,Kids Learn To Count At School,Not On A Badly Made TV Episode. The Morals Where Only Introduced About 10 Years Ago. In The 80's And 90's It Was Brilliant Stuff For A Young Kid,And It Was Inspiring. The New Stuff Is Anything But Inspiring.

Cameronl Posted: Jan 11th 2010

@crackingtoast That is very true

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Jan 11th 2010

I think that the new ones are more colourful and entertaining to watch. And i think that the CGI is well done. Thomas was never animated before, and I think its a nice change.

shaun the lamb Posted: Jan 12th 2010

CGI....I was so sad to see my sister watching noddy I heard a cheap theme song with the word noddy in it and came to see if it was the one I grew up with...Then I see a cheap CGI noddy :(
And why are all kids shows stupid nowadays?
I don't think singing about every last thing you do in the "Super MUSIC FRIEND SHOW YAY!" is educational...

crackingtoast Posted: Jan 12th 2010

i agree. noddy was brilliant when it was originally shown. i have memories of the great 90's stop-motion version... then it went cgi, preschool, replaced the iconic theme tune and made it as cheesy as that 'what a swell party this is' iceland advert...

Gromits little bro Posted: Jan 12th 2010

ha! yes CT that advert is diabolical.

Seb Moderator Posted: Jan 12th 2010

The most effective way to teach people is not to let them know they're being taught. It's the same everywhere - in a School children learn much faster if they're having fun and doing what they would do in their free time. Which would you remember longest - the information you write in an essay or the information you put in a fun presentation?

When I look back at the programmes I watched as a child the ones that I feel taught me most are the ones I enjoyed most too. Postman Pat, Thomas the Tank Engine, even Thunderbirds! They've all got messages in them, but they're enjoyable as well.

I think the real proof is whether adults will watch it too. Timmy Time is the perfect example - it is a programme teaching those watching how to behave nicely, how to make friends, etc. but it is full of such fun and charm that adults can watch it as well.

Siro6 Posted: Jan 12th 2010

Well said Seb!:)

Clay Fighter Posted: Jan 20th 2010

I loved Noddy,
i would have prefered him to be in our hearts, rather then back on tv in a silly CGI tv show, that, my friends is why i will not be youtube-ing it!

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Jan 20th 2010

WTH? In our hearts?

Clay Fighter Posted: Jan 20th 2010

Yes jamie, yes, well done that you can read!
I LOVED noddy as a chiuld...therefore he is in my Heart

shaun the lamb Posted: Jan 21st 2010

I agree with CF...they destroyed noddy!!

thespazicat Posted: Jan 21st 2010

speaking, of, i actually caught an episode of "noddy", and all i have to say is this.
why. why ruin something as classic as noddy. but no, that didnt upset me that much, this upset me. RE-DESIGNS OF CHARACTERS. I just died inside when i saw the goblins. they were my favourite characters too :'( big ears is just a joke, the doll (I forgot her name) dosnt even look like a toy etc

the same goes to postman pat, fireman sam, thomas and the other classic cartoons ruined by modern tech.

all i can say is this, why not reboot it like roobarb and custard, at least that was rebooted by the creator

shaun the lamb Posted: Jan 21st 2010

Sadly this is why they changed it...
CGI is cheaper.

Clay Fighter Posted: Jan 22nd 2010

oh postman pet special delivery service(is that what its called?) and thomas are atrocious!

shaun the lamb Posted: Jan 22nd 2010

Yes thats what it's called.
They messed up Postman Pat and Thomas the tank engine which is now renamed "Thomas and Friends" with a cheesey theme song.
*blaaah*

mqueen9557 Posted: Jan 22nd 2010

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Jan 23rd 2010

concon Posted: Jan 23rd 2010

I hate ALL Thomas And Friends,
But the new CGI Noddy is 'Mazing!

I made up a rather nasty version of the Thomas theme tune. >:-)

shaun the lamb Posted: Jan 23rd 2010

Uhh concon......
THE NEW CGI NODDY IS DISCRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They changed the epicness of it and did a horrible job animating it...and to top it all off...noddy is a brat....
T_T
