iantimothy Posted: Mar 8th 2010

yeah, its too bad, but a lot of other really good movies won

Gromit lad Posted: Mar 8th 2010

well.... they dont hav an awesome website like this 1.....
We win............
And Nick can say "IN UR FACE" with the other oscars he has...:D

Fish Posted: Mar 8th 2010

In this country (USA) the past tense is not normally used that way in regards to awards. The TV commentators here would say "Oscar winner Nick Park was seen shopping for mintballs today" - or something like that.

Clay Fighter Posted: Mar 9th 2010

same with australia...i suppose it dpepnds on the media, how they want to say it

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 9th 2010

Thanks for all the great comments guys - it's a shame that W&G and Nick didn't win this time, but I think it is still an honour for them just to be nominated. I'm sure there'll be plenty more opportunities for Oscars in the future, bring it on!

ajmole Posted: Mar 9th 2010

Yes, make a new film this year, and you could be nominated!

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Mar 9th 2010

You know what, Fish, wouldn't it be lovely if we could spot this man, who is STILL an Oscar winner, shopping for mintballs. :D It just shows you, though, how cruel the press can be on this side of the pond, eh?

ajmole, indeed the ANP will be back ... and the dust will not settle on that vacant spot on the Aardman trophy shelf for long ;)

I can understand why it won. It was very good.
