ajmole Posted: Feb 2nd 2010

I'm certain I will watch the Oscars!

Clay Fighter Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

I wish i had pay TV to watch the oscars, but if its on normal TV then i WILL definately watch it!!!!!!!!!!

666joshy666 Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

ITS ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I love Bitzer Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

Wow, this will be the first time that I watch the Oscar nomination! Thank you for that brilliant tip and @W&G: WIN!
:D

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

I'm chuffed to mintballs that the ANP is up for another Oscar. Jamie G is correct in that there is serious competition but AMOLAD is brilliant all round. All the best to the ANP and another shelf ordered from IKEA...and don't forget the halogen lights! ;)

Jamie Gomersall Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

I dont know about you but I LOVED the Gruffalo!

Aardeej Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

I agree Jamie - The Gruffalo had some pretty good animation in that.
And a great voice cast.

mmasonghi studios Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

Go &!!!!!

nitrome Posted: Feb 3rd 2010

GOOD LUCK & !!

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Feb 4th 2010

As for the Animated Feature nomination, I hope The Secret of Kells wins - I spoke to one of the producers a few years ago when the idea was in its infancy and it's truly a beautiful piece. W&G and Secret of Kells for the gold fellas! :D Prayers.

Fish Posted: Feb 4th 2010

WOW! That is great news! YAY for Nick Park and all those who worked on AMOLAD!|-)

666joshy666 Posted: Feb 4th 2010

I agree! Excellent work!

Ursrut Posted: Feb 5th 2010

WAHOOO! well done and GOOD LUCK!

shaun the lamb Posted: Feb 5th 2010

AMOLAD MUST WIN! :D

Clay Play Posted: Feb 10th 2010

Gooooooood luck

kldceltic Posted: Feb 13th 2010

yeah amolad must win:D

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 3rd 2010

Not long now until the winners are announced - everyone at Aardman will be keeping our fingers crossed when we go to bed on Sunday evening!

Seb Moderator Posted: Mar 3rd 2010

"Go to bed"?! Surely you'll all be staying up! ;) haha

Good luck Aardman!

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Mar 3rd 2010

The ANP is in the new edition of the TV Times!

I'm keeping everything crossed for the ANP and the Almighty Aards on Oscar night. AMOLAD is another deserving masterpiece!

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 4th 2010

Yes, it could be a late night/early morning! Will anyone else be staying up to watch?

I love Bitzer Posted: Mar 4th 2010

I would stay up to watch if I could see it here! But poorly I still haven't found out where and when I can see it and on which channel! I think it won't be shown at TV here in Germany what would be very bad =(

kldceltic Posted: Mar 4th 2010

yeah me katie:D;)

concon Posted: Mar 4th 2010

It will be to late for me! :(

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 5th 2010

Yeah it is pretty late - it won't start until about 2am UK time (I think) so it's a bit late if you're at school the next day.

Still, I'm sure there'll be lots of people on the site on Monday morning to talk to about it :)

Seb Moderator Posted: Mar 5th 2010

My Sunday evening then:

8:00pm-9:00pm - Lark Rise to Candleford (highlight of the week!)
9:00pm-2:00am - Catching up with programmes I've been recording
2:00am - Oscars!

Haha!

Katie - do you know who will be there from Aardman?

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 5th 2010

Dave, Pete and Nick will all be there - the rest of us will be biting our nails back at Aardman HQ! ;)

I love Bitzer Posted: Mar 5th 2010

Good idea :D
Do you know at which channel and at which time the oscars will be shown here in Germany? Because I've searched the whole web (ok, not the whole but every possible page) but have nothing found yet
:(
If you'd an idea where and when the oscars are shown that would be fantastic!
:)

timmytwo Posted: Mar 6th 2010

what about in Australia? (if they're even on in here)

Clay Fighter Posted: Mar 6th 2010

i dont think they are:-(

ajmole Posted: Mar 6th 2010

Tomorrow I can tell you guys who won the Oscar for it! It's at 8 or 7 where I'm at. :D

boo315 Posted: Mar 7th 2010

iantimothy Posted: Mar 7th 2010

i will certainly be watchin', kinda weird to think that nick, steve, and peter are in the same country as me,:D

ajmole Posted: Mar 7th 2010

Bad news guys, Wallace and Gromit lost the Oscar to Logorama. :O:-(

Aardeej Posted: Mar 8th 2010

Oh no!

Never mind - we still have the animation BAA awards coming up shortly. ;)

Ursrut Posted: Mar 8th 2010

I loved the bow tie Nick Park was wearing |-) .

Clay Fighter Posted: Mar 8th 2010

Oh well,Atlest they were nominated!!!

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Mar 8th 2010

Nick is still a WINNER to me... and the world wide world.

He'll be back! ;)

Fish Posted: Mar 8th 2010

I agree, SockEye! Nick is a winner no matter what!:)

Gromits little bro Posted: Mar 8th 2010

Ah well, you can't win 'em all... Well done Logorama!
We still have our BAFTA!

iantimothy Posted: Mar 8th 2010

thats too bad, i didnt really like logorama, but i love nick's tie that he wore! i love bow ties, i wear 'em to school

SockEyeSalmon Posted: Mar 8th 2010

Do you think the ANP will let me borrow his bow tie for St Patrick's Day? >:-) Yay, Fish and Ursrut, my old pals, Nick is a 24 carat gold WINNER.

I was looking forward to some handsome pictures and features of Nick and a hard-earned Oscar in the papers and, possibly, 'Hello' mag but... :'( as GLB has said, you can't win 'em all!

What irritates me is when some people in the press say he is a "former" Oscar winner. Piggin' 'ecky pecky, he doesn't hand his Oscars back in the same way as people do when they win boxing matches or The Rose of Tralee or owt like that!

There is still a 5th Oscar with your name on it, Nick - all in God's good time! 0:)
