Hi Katie, I was wondering if you knew how Aardman aquires actors to do the parts in their films.

PS. I heard about Aardman winning four animation awards! Well done!;)

they do test shots with the characters they make. they animate the model using the actor/actresses voice 2 c wheather the person is a suitable for the job. then they ask them 2 play the part of the character

hope this helps!

Thanks Anti-pesto but maybe you should delete that bit with your first name on it.;)

I think it depends on the production - I expect the directors have a bank of voice actors that they have used in the past and contacts through the industry, but they also advertise through trade magazines if they are looking for something specific.

On the other hand, Nick Park found his Piella by listening to the radio! http://www.wallaceandgromit.com/forum/read/7102/1

The M5 must have great radio reception! What does IMBD mean?

katie Aardman Staff Posted: Mar 18th 2008

http://www.imdb.com/ it's the place to go when you want to find out more info on actors/directors/films/tv

Mark the shark Posted: Mar 18th 2008

Yeah, Imdb's great! Internet Movie Database. THanks katie!:D

Hmm, does Nick Park get the voice actors from IMDb?:O
